Incoming Calls

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

The Single-Number Reach features requires that your Communicator Mobile device discerns if an incoming call is a regular cell phone call, or an enterprise call from the Office Communications Server infrastructure. To support this feature, Communicator Mobile users must configure the Simultaneously Ring feature on their mobile device. This feature is configured on the Calls tab, available from the Options menu.

Once configured, when an incoming call is an enterprise call, Office Communications Server forks the call to all registered endpoints, including the Communicator Mobile device.

If an incoming call is not an enterprise call from the Office Communications Server infrastructure, the call is handled as a normal cell call.
