Change your network password while using Remote Web Workplace

To change the password by using Remote Web Workplace

  1. On the client computer, open an Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer.

  2. In the address bar, type https://<DomainName>/remote, where <DomainName> is the external domain name of your organization, such as contoso.com.

Note

If you have not yet set up an external domain name for your organization, and you want to access Remote Web Workplace from a client computer, you can do so by typing https://sites/remote in the address bar.

Note

If you are using Internet Explorer as your Internet browser, you can access Remote Web Workplace from a client computer by clicking Remote Web Workplace on the Favorites menu.

If your client computer is running Windows Vista, the Windows Small Business Server Desktop Links gadget is installed on your computer. This gadget is displayed after you add it to the Windows Sidebar, and when the Windows Sidebar is open. To add the gadget, right-click the Windows Sidebar, click Add Gadgets, and then double-click Windows Small Business Server Desktop Links. To access Remote Web Workplace by using the gadget, click Remote Web Workplace.

  1. Type your user name and password to log on to Remote Web Workplace.

  2. On the Remote Web Workplace home page, click Change Password. The logon page for Remote Web Workplace appears.

  3. Type your old password, type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then press ENTER.
