Learn more about hard drive status
The Status column on the Server Storage tab of the console indicates the status of all the hard drives on your home server.
The following table lists the possible status for your hard drives:
Status | Description |
---|---|
Healthy |
The hard drive is healthy. This is the normal condition. |
Not Added |
The hard drive is connected, but it has not been added to server storage. |
Initializing |
The hard drive has been added to server storage and Windows Home Server is formatting the hard drive. |
Removing |
Windows Home Server is removing the hard drive. |
Missing |
The hard drive has been added to server storage, but Windows Home Server cannot detect the hard drive. |
Failing |
One or more volumes on the hard drive are corrupt. The hard drive needs to be repaired. Select the hard drive, and then click Repair. |
