administrator

Manager of a computer, system, or network of computers or systems.

AGPM Administrator (Full Control)

In Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), the role that has permissions for Full Control.

alert

An audible or visual warning signal, generated by a computer, indicating that a threshold has been or is about to be breached.

All-user profile

A wireless profile that any user with an account on the computer can use to connect to a specific Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 wireless network.

application

Software that includes executable files and other software components, such as a database.

archive

In Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), a central store containing the controlled GPOs managed by the associated AGPM Server, as well as the history for each of those GPOs, including all previous controlled versions of each GPO. An archive consists of an archive index file and associated archive data, which may include data for GPOs in multiple domains. An archive can be hosted on a computer other than an AGPM Server.

archive path

In Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), the location of the archive relative to the AGPM Server.

authentication

The process of verifying the identity of a user, computer, process, or other entity by validating the credentials provided by the entity. Common forms of credentials are digital signatures, smart cards, biometric data, and a combination of user names and passwords.

Authorization Policies Wizard

A wizard that is available through Remote Desktop Gateway Manager that enables you to quickly configure a Remote Desktop connection authorization policy (RD CAP), a Remote Desktop resource authorization policy (RD RAP), and a computer group that is associated with an RD RAP.
