(LTU) Sales tax reporting XML codes (form) [AX 2012]

Updated: April 3, 2013

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3

Click General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > External > Sales tax reporting XML codes.

Use this form to create codes that you use to set up the structure for sales tax and value-added tax (VAT) reports. Create XML codes, which are also known as elements, that define the lines that you want to use to summarize transactions. You can define the lines in the XML format for your country/region by grouping child elements in a parent element. When you export sales tax information and create the sales tax report as an XML file, you can send the XML file to the sales tax authorities.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Define default values for the XML elements that you create.

XML element name

Enter a unique name for the XML element.

Enter a description for the XML element or XML attribute.

Parent element

If the XML element is a child of another element, enter the name of the parent element.

XML attribute name

Enter a name for the XML attribute that is included in the related element.
