Web Viewer interface

The Web Viewer interface contains the usual browser items such as a URL field, page forward, page back, and refresh buttons, tabs, etc. The Web Viewer interactive buttons shown at the bottom of the window are described in the following table.

Web Viewer buttons

The following table describes the buttons that are available on the application bar of the Web Viewer.

Button

Description

Reporting Tree

View information for individual units of the reporting tree of the report. You can view only the units of the reporting tree that you have been granted access to in Management Reporter. The Reporting Tree button is shown only when the current report includes a Reporting Tree.

Add Comment

Add a comment to the row that is currently selected in the report. The Add Comment button is shown only when a report row is selected.

Go To

View specific rows in the report or a specific level of the reporting tree.

This feature is available for the Financial level of a report only.

Show

Choose from the following commands. When selected, a check mark appears next to the command in the Show list.

  • Charts and Comments – Display or hide the charts and comments that are associated with rows of a report. By default, charts and comments are not displayed.

  • Header and Footer – Display or hide the headers and footers for the report. By default, headers and footers are not displayed.

  • Previous month’s reports – Select to view the reports that were generated in the previous month.

  • Summary lines only – Select to show only the summary lines of the report.

Currency

Select a new currency to display in the report. If the Currency Display cell is defined in the Column Definition, you cannot use the Currency button to change currencies. For more information, see Translate report currency.

A report shown in a different currency cannot be viewed in Report Viewer.

Zoom

Increase or decrease magnification of the report data.

Download

Select a format in which to download the current report. Options are XPS (.xps) file, a worksheet in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx file), or as a report in Management Reporter.

If you selected the Include formulas check box in the Report definition’s Output and Distributions tab, the TOT row formulas that you included in your report will also exported into Excel. For more information about how formulas are handled in Excel after you export them, see Export a report in Desktop Viewer.

Submit

Choose from the following commands:

You must have the XBRL Submit user permission to submit an instance document.
  • Validate – Validate your instance document and test the submission process before filing.

  • XBRL Filing – Submit the instance document to be filed with the appropriate authorities.
