Windows Azure Pack Settings User Interface Design

Applies To: Windows Azure Pack

The Windows Azure Pack management portal for administrators should allow for resource settings to be applied. An example scenario is when multiple entities, such as servers or cloud resources, need to be displayed in a list.

Settings

The following screen shot illustrates the correct way to present setting information.

Design Considerations

The following considerations should be taken into account:

  • The command bar should provide a link to enable editing of settings.

  • Editable resources should be presented in list format with read-only entries. If a single entity, the screen should show all the setting values in read-only mode and use the command bar link to enable editing.
