In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and earlier versions, the formletter class controls the posting form (RunBase), creates parm table records and journal records, performs the actual posting, and controls printer settings.

Reason for deprecation

The functionality that is provided by the RunBase framework is limited and had to be refactored.

Replaced by another feature

Yes. The feature has been removed, and a replacement feature is available. The RunBase framework has been replaced by the SysOperations Framework, which is more robust and has significant performance improvements.
