Yes. The feature has been removed, and a replacement feature is available. As part of the new product definition concept in AX 2012, the process of defining a product has been made more explicit. Users select whether a product is a simple product or a product master. If a product is a product master, the user must specify the tool or method that is used to create product variants for that master. For more information, see Product information management.
