The new Microsoft Information Protection client (without the add-in) is currently in preview and scheduled for general availability.

To contact Microsoft Support

If you're working with sensitivity labels in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, see the Support page in the Microsoft 365 and Office 365 platform service descriptions.

You might be eligible for FastTrack: You can use the FastTrack Center Benefit when you purchase at least 150 licenses in an eligible plan for Azure Information Protection. The FastTrack Center Benefit lets you work with Microsoft specialists to assess, remediate, and enable eligible services. For more information, see FastTrack Center Benefit for Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS).

For other customers, use the support channels in the following table, depending on your subscription for Azure Information Protection.

Subscription Instructions
Azure Information Protection (standalone) 1. Select New support request from Help + support in the Azure portal.

2. When you are prompted, on the Basics pane, choose Technical for the Issue type and Information Protection for the service.

3. In addition, make sure that one of the following options is selected:

- Subscription with technical support included: You see this option if you have a paid or trial subscription for Azure.

- Technical support - Included: You see this option if you don't have an Azure subscription.

Azure Rights Management with a Microsoft 365 subscription

Azure Information Protection with Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) 1. Select New support request from Help + support in the Azure portal.

2. When you are prompted, on the Basics pane, choose Technical for the Issue type and Information Protection for the service.

3. In addition, make sure that one of the following options is selected:

Troubleshooting:

    If there's a preview version available, try that to see if it fixes the issue—not all fixes are listed in the version history.
