Understanding the LINPACK Benchmark Parameters

Applies To: Microsoft HPC Pack 2008, Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 R2, Microsoft HPC Pack 2012, Windows HPC Server 2008, Windows HPC Server 2008 R2

The values assigned to the LINPACK configuration parameters that are listed in the Initial Parameter Values page of Lizard are the values that will be used to start running the LINPACK Benchmark. These values can be modified so that peak performance can be more efficiently calculated. You can also import these values if you have an output file that was saved from when you ran Lizard in the past.

Note

These parameter values are only the initial values that are used for the tuning process. Lizard analyses the results that were obtained after each time the LINPACK Benchmark completes, and automatically adjusts the values of the parameters to run the LINPACK Benchmark the next time.
