Configuring an RD Virtualization Host Server for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection

To configure a server to host virtual machines to provide virtual desktops to users through RemoteApp and Desktop Connection, you must do the following on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2:

A Remote Desktop Virtualization Host (RD Virtualization Host) server is only needed if you plan to provide virtual desktops to users through RemoteApp and Desktop Connection. Virtual desktops include virtual machines in virtual desktop pools and personal virtual desktops.
