Removing the AD RMS Server Role

You can use a Windows PowerShell cmdlet to remove the Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) server role from a server.
|If you are removing every server in the AD RMS cluster, be sure to first decommission AD RMS and remove all protection from the content that is rights-protected by this AD RMS cluster. For more information, see Decommissioning AD RMS. If you are only removing one AD RMS server from the cluster, you do not need to decommission the AD RMS environment because other servers continue to issue certification and licensing requests to AD RMS users.|
