During the installation of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2, the Microsoft Exchange Analyzer Tool determines whether the Exchange Server 2010 Admin Tools are already installed.

If Exchange Analyzer determines that the Exchange 2010 Admin Tools are already installed on the computer, Exchange Analyzer generates the following error message:

Exchange Server 2010 Admin Tools are already installed on this computer. The installation of an Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) role is not supported.

To resolve this issue, you must remove the Exchange Server 2010 Admin Tools and then install the Exchange Admin Tools in the following order:

  1. Exchange 2007 Admin Tools.

  2. Exchange 2010 Admin Tools.
