What does Automatic Updates do?

It can automatically deliver security updates to your computer.

How are updates downloaded?

Over unused bandwidth whenever you are connected to the Internet.

When are updates installed?

Daily, but you can specify when.

How can I change my Automatic Updates settings?

From the desktop, open the System control panel and then click the Automatic Updates tab.

Is there anything else I need to do?

For some updates, you might need to accept a licensing agreement or restart your computer.

Why isn’t the Next button available?

It is grayed out until you make a selection.
