Certificates

Use the Certificates snap-in to view the properties of certificates in the computer store of a DirectAccess client, DirectAccess server, intranet server, or the network location server.

To view certificates in the computer store with the Certificates snap-in

  1. Click Start, type mmc, and then press ENTER.

  2. Click File, and then click Add/Remove Snap-in.

  3. Click Certificates, click Add, select Computer account, click Next, select Local computer, click Finish, and then click OK.

  4. In the console tree of the Certificates snap-in, open Certificates (Local Computer)\Personal\Certificates.

  5. To view the properties of a certificate, double-click the certificate in the details pane.

You use the Certificates snap-in for DirectAccess troubleshooting to verify the subject, enhanced key usage (EKU), and certificate revocation list (CRL) distribution points on the Details tab for the properties of installed certificates.
