Manage Users Page (Master Data Manager)

Use the Manage Users page to view and edit the list of users with access to Master Data Manager.

This list of users includes:

  • Users you have added manually

  • Users that belong to groups and that have logged in to Master Data Manager

Group members that have not logged in and that you have not added manually are not displayed in the list.

A menu is displayed when you click the drop-down arrow in each row of the grid.

Menu Item Name

Description

Edit

Displays the tabs you use to view and update a user's information and permissions.

General

Opens the General tab, which you use to view or edit general information about the user.

Memberships

Opens the Memberships tab, which you can view a user's group memberships.

Functions

Opens the Functions tab, from which you assign a user permission to functions.

Models

Opens the Models tab, from which you view or edit model object permissions.

Hierarchy members

Opens the Hierarchy Members tab, from which you view or assign permissions on explicit hierarchies and their members.

Delete

Deletes the user.

If the user is a member of an Active Directory or local group with access to Master Data Manager, you must remove the user from the group to ensure he or she does not have access.

Description

Add users

Opens the Add Users page, from which you can add one or more users.

Edit selected user

Opens the General tab, from which you can view or edit the user.

This action is available only when a row in the grid is selected.

Delete selected user

Deletes the user.

This action is available only when a row in the grid is selected.

NoteNote
If the user is a member of an Active Directory or local group with access to Master Data Manager, you must remove the user from the group to ensure he or she does not have access.

Grid Columns

Column Name

Description

User Name

Displays the domain and user name from Active Directory or local user account.

Display Name

Displays the display name from Active Directory or the local user account.

Description

Displays a description from Active Directory or local user account.

E-mail Address

Displays the e-mail address that is specified on the General tab. By default, this is the value from Active Directory or local user account.

Last Login Date

Displays the date the user last accessed Master Data Manager.
