The Windows Client Management Pack version 6.0.6729.0 adds monitoring support for Windows 7 and includes the following changes in the Windows Vista management pack:

  • Changed name of “Logical Disk Free Space” alert to “Logical Disk Free Space is Low” for clarity.

  • Corrected names and descriptions for various rules.

  • Increased the time-out value for the Run Chkdsk task to 3600 seconds.

  • Fixed the Server Service Configuration Health collection monitor to generate an alert for computers running Windows Vista that belong to the Business Critical group.

  • Disabled and renamed the following rules and monitors because the required services or components are not in the Windows Vista operating system:

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LogicalDiskManagerServiceHealth

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMAutoImportFailed.Alert

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMAutoImportFailed.Alert.MissionCritical

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMDiskGroupFailed.Alert

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMDiskGroupFailed.Alert.MissionCritical

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMVolumeNotStarted.Alert

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.LDMVolumeNotStarted.Alert.MissionCritical

    • Microsoft.Windows.Client.Vista.OperatingSystem.RebootFromBugCheck.Collection

  • Changed a parameter for the Network Adapter Connection monitor from device name to network adapter name.

  • Fixed issues with the following rules:

    • Check WMI Queries

    • The Event Log File is Full

    • Performance Counter Data Request TimeOut Alert

    • Software Update Installation Failed Alert

    • Performance Registry Corruption Alert

  • Fixed issues with the Logical Disk Not Available monitor.

  • Changed multiple views from “Internal” to “Public”.

  • Changed the name of the "All Business Critical Windows Clients" group to “All Business Critical Windows 2000/XP Clients”.

  • Updated the Object Picker functionality for reports.

  • Removed the NTFS Quota report.

  • Corrected event-related rules and monitors to use Event Source Name in place of Publisher Name.

  • Fixed Logical Disk Not Available monitor to run in low-privilege environment.
