Site Analysis Report Page

Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista

The Site Analysis Report page lets you view detailed information about an individual report.

This page has a rich set of features to help you view report data, including query tabs at the top and multiple category views on the left that you can select to display detailed information in the columns on the right. It is worthwhile to spend some time exploring these features.

Dashboard

Click to return to the main Site Analysis Report page when more than one tab is open.

Note
When you open or create a new query by using the Query drop-down list, new query tabs will be generated to the right of the Dashboard tab. The Dashboard tab will always be present. When there is more than one query tab open, click the tab to view its contents, or click the drop-down list on the right of the screen to select a tab. When a tab other than the Dashboard tab is active, you can click the X to the right of the drop-down list to close the active tab. You can also right-click an active tab and choose Close to close the tab, Close All But This to close all tabs except the current tab and the Dashboard tab, or Close All to close all tabs except the Dashboard tab. Report

Use the Report drop-down list to export report data in .csv format, or to compare the current report with another report.

Element Name Description

Export all Violations

Opens the Save As dialog box so that you can save all violations in .csv file format.

Export all URLs

Opens the Save As dialog box so that you can save all URLs in .csv file format.

Export All Links

Opens the Save As dialog box so that you can save all Links in .csv file format.

Compare to Another Report

Opens the Select Report Dialog Box for you to select an existing report to compare with the current report, or create a new analysis to compare with the current report.

Query

The Query drop-down list lets you create a new query or open an existing query. Queries open in new tabs to the right of the Dashboard tab. When there is more than one tab, click the tab to view its contents, or click the down arrow on the right to select a tab. Click the X to close the current tab. Right click a tab to select the Close, Close All But This, and Close All options to close one or more tabs. For information about using queries, see Report Comparison and Query Dialog Boxes.

New Query

Opens a new Query tab.

Open Query

Opens the Select Query dialog box so that you can open a query that has been previously saved in .xml format.

New Violations Query

Opens a new Violations query tab.

New Link Query

Opens a new Link query tab.

Views

When the Dashboard tab is active, the left pane of the Site Analysis Report page contains a number of categories of views that you can select to get more detailed information about a report. The main view categories are listed in the following table. For more information about each category, see Site Analysis Report Views.

Column Name Description

Summary

Displays report overview information, including the name of the report, the start URL, and the time when the analysis was run.

Violations

Displays detailed information about violations of SEO best practices. Fixing these violations can improve how search engines discover and rank your Web site.

Content

Displays information about content features that are related to search engine optimization, such as directory structure or duplicate keywords.

Performance

Displays information about slow pages or pages with many resources.

Links

Displays link-related information, such as the pages with the most links, the most linked pages, and pages with the greatest link depth.
