Caching Infrastructure

The International Retail Site uses caching techniques available from ASP.NET and Commerce Server 2002, and makes optimum use of both as required. The site is designed so that all static data elements and dynamic data that do not change often are cached.

This section contains:

• Commerce Server 2002 Caching Techniques. Describes the Commerce Server 2002 caching techniques used on the International Retail Site.

Note

• When you delete a catalog from the site, the site continues to display the cached copy of the catalog until you perform an IISReset. If you add an item from the deleted catalog to your cart, a runtime error occurs.
