500error.asp
The Active Server Pages (ASP) application settings for the Solution Sites have been configured so that if any 500 error (an ASP script error, and so on) occurs during page processing, this page will be displayed. The 500error.asp file has been written to show detailed error messages when the site is in DEVELOPMENT mode, but shows a friendlier error message and an event log message when the site is in PRODUCTION mode. Developers are encouraged to modify this file to provide a branded error message, perhaps with Webmaster contact information, and so on, as their needs dictate.
The unpack.vbs file programmatically sets up the ASP application to use this custom error handler. It can also be configured manually using Internet Information Services (IIS).
