Dynamic Reports
A dynamic report is a report that is created at run time. Each time the report is run, it gathers the most recent data in the Data Warehouse. Only the report definition, which remains the same over time, is stored. (This differs from a static report, where the report is stored, with the data, in the Data Warehouse.) Use the Reports module to run dynamic reports.
When you run a dynamic report, it appears in a new Internet Explorer browser window as a PivotTable and/or a PivotChart. You can show or hide the PivotTable and/or PivotChart in every dynamic report.
PivotTables include filters, rows, columns, dimensions, and measures that contain your report details.
PivotCharts are graphical representations of the data in the report.
Within the PivotTable and PivotChart, you can view the details of your data and move dimensions and measures to get a different perspective on your data. The PivotTable and PivotChart remain synchronized with each other so that they present the same data.

Exporting a Dynamic Report
You use the PivotTable controls to export a completed dynamic report to Microsoft Excel. You use Microsoft Excel to save, modify, and print completed dynamic reports. To export a completed dynamic report to Microsoft Excel, you must have Microsoft Excel installed on the same computer on which your completed dynamic report resides.
Unlike a static report, you cannot export the results of a dynamic report to the List Manager module.
Creating New Dynamic Reports
You can create new dynamic report definitions based on any of the default reports included in Business Desk.
