Exporting a Dynamic Report

You use the PivotTable controls to export a completed dynamic report to Microsoft Excel. You use Microsoft Excel to save, modify, and print completed dynamic reports. To export a completed dynamic report to Microsoft Excel, you must have Microsoft Excel installed on the same computer on which your completed dynamic report resides.

To export a completed dynamic report to Microsoft Excel

  1. Contact your system administrator to import data into the Data Warehouse and to run the Report Preparation DTS task to make the data available for reports.

  2. In Analysis, click Reports. In the list of available reports, select the dynamic report definition you want to run, and then click Run on the toolbar.

    The completed dynamic report appears as a PivotTable in a new browser window.

    • If the PivotTable is not visible, click Show/Hide Pivot on the toolbar.
  3. To open your report in Microsoft Excel, in the PivotTable screen, click Export to Excel on the PivotTable toolbar.

The report appears as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
