Processing the New Properties

After the new properties are in production on your Web site, you can run the Product Catalog Import DTS task and the Profile Data Import DTS task. The DTS tasks process the new properties as follows:

  1. The DTS tasks compare the existing Data Warehouse schema with the profile schema or catalog schema.
  2. The DTS tasks add new columns to the Data Warehouse schema as needed, and then import data into the Data Warehouse. An incremental import adds values only for new columns; a full import adds all the data.
  3. The DTS tasks automatically create the new Data Warehouse class and member(s) for the new properties. The DTS tasks do not create any relations in the Data Warehouse.
