You are a business manager for the Adventure Works company, which sells camping gear. Currently you offer your products through mail-order catalogs, but now you have hired a developer to create a Web site so that you can sell camping gear online.

Your current Adventure Works catalog is stored in the AdvWrksCatalog.xml file. Because you plan to sell products to customers in both the United States and Europe, you will design your Web site to handle transactions using both U.S. dollar and euro currencies. In addition, you will create a new catalog for your new Camping Maps division.

In this tutorial, you will:

  • Import your existing base catalog into Business Desk
  • Create a new base catalog
  • Create a virtual catalog to combine your two base catalogs
  • Create an ad campaign, which appeals to a specific group of outdoor enthusiasts who shop on your Web site
