Finding User Profiles in a Mailing List

You use the List Manager module in Campaigns to import mailing lists. After you import a mailing list into List Manager, you can use the Find function in the Users module to find user profile instances in the mailing list. To find user profile instances in the mailing list, the e-mail addresses in the mailing list must match the e-mail addresses in the user object profile. After you find the profile instances, you can update them individually, or you can create an update query to update them in groups.

You must have access to the Profiles modules to make changes to site terms, profile definitions, and profiles. For information about Business Desk permissions, see About Business Desk Security.

To find user profiles in a mailing list

  1. In Profiles, click Users.

  2. In the User Object screen, in the Find pane, select User lists from the Find By drop-down list.

  3. A list of user lists from List Manager appears in the Find pane.

  4. Select the user list from which you want to search for user profiles, and then click Find Now.

The user profiles from the selected user list appear in the Filtered View list. You can now edit the user profiles individually, or create an update query to update multiple user profiles. For information about editing multiple user profiles, see Editing Multiple User Profiles.
