Interaction Between Sites and the Administration Database

The Administration database is accessed by three COM objects: SiteConfig, GlobalConfig, and SiteConfigReadOnly. The following figure shows how these Config objects facilitate communication between sites and the Administration database.

A figure illustrating how Config Objects update the Administration database.

The Config objects write data to the Administration database. They also get data from the database that is then used by the applications. For information about programming with the Config objects, see Programmer's Reference.
