With Commerce Server 2002, you have the option of using a high-precision currency value representation. This section describes the new currency representation, explains how to use it in both old and new pipelines, and lists the new data functions for handling the currency type. For information about supporting multiple currencies, see Localizing Currencies.

This section contains:

  • Currency Overview. Describes how Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition and Commerce Server 2002 represent currency values.
  • Currency Modes. Explains the two modes used by Commerce Server 2002 pipelines that allow you to mix old and new components together, or to improve the performance of your pipelines by using only the new currency value representation.
  • Rounding. Explains how fractional units are rounded in the different currency value representations.
  • Data Functions. Lists the new data functions that allow you to use the new currency value representation on your Active Server Pages (ASP) pages.
