Removing a Web Server from an Application

When you remove a Web server from an application, you are removing the Commerce Web server object from the Administration database. You are not removing Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 settings or Web server files.

If you remove the Web server used by Commerce Server Business Desk, users will not be able to manage the site.

After you remove the last Web server from an application, the application still appears in Commerce Server Manager.

To remove a Web Server from an application

  1. Expand Commerce Server Manager, expand Commerce Sites, and then expand the site you want to administer.

  2. Expand Applications, expand the application from which you want to remove the Commerce Web server object, right-click the Web server object, and then click Delete.

The Commerce Web server object is removed from the application; the Web server no longer appears under the application. If necessary, you can add the same Web server, or a different one, to the application.
