Finding an Organization Profile

You use the Organizations module to search your Web site for an organization profile or a group of organization profiles. You can use the Find pane to narrow your search by using the properties of the profile definition and the values of the profile you are searching for. For example, you can search for an organization profile that contains the value "technical," in the profile property "Name." The Filtered View list below the Find pane contains all the organization profiles that match your search criteria.

You must have access to the Profiles modules to make changes to site terms, profile definitions, and profiles. For information about Business Desk permissions, see About Business Desk Security.

To find an organization profile

In Profiles, click Organizations.
In the Organization screen, if the Find pane is not open, click on the toolbar.

In the Find By drop-down box, do the following:

Use this	To do this
Name	Search for an organization profile by name.
Date last changed	Search for an organization profile that was edited on a particular date.
Date created	Search for an organization profile that was created on a particular date.
Find by property	Search for an organization profile by property. Use this option to create an expression to find an organization profile.

In the property value box that appears next, type or select from the drop-down list the specific value for the properties that you selected (for example, the name of the organization profile you are searching for).

Notes
- If you need a more elaborate search, select Find By Property from the Find By drop-down list to create an expression to find an organization profile.
- You can include a wildcard entry (*) to match any number of characters in your search. For example, t* matches any user whose name begins with the letter "t".
Click Find Now.

Caution

When searching for organization profiles, it is important to restrict your search criteria to control the number of organization profiles matching your search parameters. If a large number of organization profiles match your search criteria, the results could cause a significant decrease in your Commerce Server Business Desk performance.

The search is performed. If your search is successful, the organization profiles you searched for will appear in the Filtered View list. If your search is not successful, the message "No items match this search" appears.
