Workflow for Profile Management

The following figure illustrates a sample scenario for creating site terms, updating profile definitions, and managing profiles.

1. In the Site Terms Editor module, you add site terms, which are used in a profile definition to limit user entries for that property, for example, favorite color. Using site terms, you can create expressions to target advertisements to site users.
2. In the Profile Definition Designer module, you add the new site term to the profile definition, which you can use to collect information, such as user data.
3. In the Profile Definition Designer module, you add the property to a profile definition.
4. In the Publish Profiles module, you publish the profile definition changes to your site.
5. In the Users module, you manage profiles on your Web site. For example, you can add a new user profile or modify an existing one.
6. In Campaigns, you can use the Campaign Expressions module to create an expression to target users whose profile matches your target criteria, for example, favorite color is equal to purple.
