Log file import differs in number of visits

If your log files contain either an incorrect number of unique items or extraneous carriage return/linefeeds, the number of visits reported by Commerce Server 2000 and Commerce Server 2002 might be different.

Solution

This is due to changes in the way the application parses the Web log file. If you have a field that contains a positive integer value (for example, bytes sent, bytes received, status code, and so on) and the field is corrupted, the field value of the integer is not passed as a valid field in Commerce Server 2002. Additionally, Commerce Server 2002 rejects integers that are too large. For information about supported data types in Commerce Server 2002, see Supported Data Types.
