"Snap-in failed to initialize"

You might receive the error message "Snap-in failed to initialize" when trying to open Commerce Server Manager with the following setup: completely installed Commerce Server 2002 on two nodes of a cluster, Direct Mail and Predictor are set up as clustered resources, and SQL Server is not on a cluster.

Solution

Using Terminal Services, reboot the machine you are trying to administer.
