Recovery Center

Applies To: System Center Data Protection Manager 2007

In the Recovery Center, you can create recovery points and roll back computers to previous states, even if they are locked out or unbootable.

Task Pane

The Task pane on the left side of the Recovery Center window contains the following menu groups:

  • Recovery. Contains shortcuts to analyze, repair, and roll back systems.

  • Report. Contains shortcuts to various activity reports.

  • Maintenance. Contains a shortcut to create recovery points and create the boot client.

Computer Selection Pane

The Computer Selection pane at the top right displays information about all scheduled computers. In the Computer Selection pane, you can select a single system or multiple systems to recover. From the Selection View drop-down list box, you can view computers by:

  • Active Directory. To view all selected and unselected computers in an Active Directory tree view.

  • All Computers. To view a list of all selected and unselected computers.

  • Network. To view all selected and unselected computers in a NetBIOS tree view.

  • Schedules. To view all selected and unselected computers by schedule.

  • Selected Computers. To view a list of all selected computers.

Details Pane

The Details pane at the bottom right displays information about the computer selected in the Computer Selection pane. The Details pane contains two tabs:

  • System Information. Displays general system information.

  • Recovery Points. Displays the available recovery points for the system.
