Virtual desktops assigned as personal virtual desktops or assigned to virtual desktop pools are managed by using Hyper-V Manager.

Resolve

Save virtual machine manually

To resolve this issue, you must save the virtual machine manually.

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.

To save the virtual machine manually:

  1. On the RD Virtualization Host server, open Hyper-V Manager. To open Hyper-V Manager, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Hyper-V Manager.
  2. In the left hand pane, click the name of the RD Virtualization Host server.
  3. Under Virtual Machines, right-click the name of the virtual machine to manually save, and then click Save.

 

Verify

To verify that the virtual desktops are configured correctly, you can connect to them by using RD Web Access.

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.

To connect to a virtual desktop:

  1. On a client computer, open Internet Explorer. To open Internet Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
  2. In the Address bar, type https://servername/RDWeb where servername is the fully qualified domain name of the RD Web Access server, and then press ENTER.
  3. In the Domain\user name box, type the name of a user account that has access to a virtual desktop.
  4. In the Password box, type the specified password, and then click Sign in.
  5. Click the appropriate virtual desktop, and then click Connect.
  6. Verify that the virtual desktop opens without error.
