RRAS: At least one network interface should be enabled on the RRAS server

All network interfaces on the Routing and Remote Access server are disabled.

If all network interfaces are disabled, then remote access clients cannot communicate with the RRAS server.

Enable at least one network interface on the RRAS server.

RRAS cannot perform either its routing or remote access functions if there is no network connectivity. Routing requires a minimum of two network connections, and remote access requires at least one; two if remote access clients must access resources on a private network. Network adapters installed on the computer must be enabled in Windows before they can be used within RRAS.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

  1. Confirm that the network adapter is physically connected to the network.

  2. Open the Network Connections folder. To do so, Click the network icon in the notification area of the task bar, and then click Open Network and Sharing Center. In the left-hand pane, click Change adapter settings.

  3. Examine the icon for the network adapter. If the adapter is enabled, the icon has blue monitors, and the name of the network to which it is connected appears under the adapter name. If the icon is disabled, the monitors are grey, and the word Disabled appears under the adapter name.

  4. If the adapter is disabled, then select the adapter, and then click Enable this network device in the toolbar at the top of the window.
