This article describes how to integrate an Active Directory forest with Groove Server 2010 Manager, which is the recommended method for creating a Microsoft SharePoint Workspace user directory for Groove Server Manager. If you cannot access Active Directory or if you want to create a simple test environment, you can manually create a directory of Microsoft SharePoint Workspace user information from the Groove Server Manager administrative interface, as described in Manually creating a SharePoint Workspace user directory for Groove Server Manager.

This procedure requires that Groove Server 2010 Manager is installed as described in Install and configure Groove Server 2010 Manager.

To integrate an Active Directory forest with Groove Server Manager

  1. Prepare an Active Directory Server for integration with Groove Server Manager, as described in Prepare Active Directory for Groove Server Manager.

  2. Create a SharePoint Workspace user directory for Groove Server Manager by integrating an Active Directory forest with Groove Server Manager, as described in Create a SharePoint Workspace user directory for Groove Server Manager.
