The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

An EdgeSync process ended because the Hub Transport server couldn't find a matching direct trust certificate on the Edge Transport server.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that EdgeSync closed a synchronization session between the computer that is running the Hub Transport server role and the computer that is running the Edge Transport server role. The connection was closed because the Hub Transport server could not find a matching internal transport certificate (also referred to as a direct trust certificate) on the Edge Transport server. This event may be caused if an administrator modified the certificate on either computer.
