Alternate full address

This setting specifies an alternate name or IP address of the remote computer that you want to connect to by using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).

Note

With clients running RDC 7, this setting takes precedence over the full address setting.

Syntax

alternate full address:s:<value>

Values

Value Explanation

A valid computer name, IPv4 address, or IPv6 address

Specifies the remote computer to which you want to connect

There is no default value.

Examples

To specify Server1, type:

alternate full address:s:server1

To specify a computer with the IP address of 10.10.15.15, type:

alternate full address:s:10.10.15.15
