Configuring management domain properties

This article describes how to change domain properties. You can view or change domain details, or import and export domain certificates from the Domain Properties page, as described in this procedure.

This procedure requires that Groove Server Manager is installed as described in Install and configure Groove Server 2010 Manager.

To change or review domain properties, follow these steps

  1. Log on to your Groove Server Manager administrative Web site and select the domain in the navigation pane.

  2. Click the Domain Properties tab.

  3. Edit settings as necessary, and then click OK. The following table provides guidance in configuring domain settings:

Domain property Description

Properties

Name

Displays the organization name. This initial value is the name entered during installation. Edit if you need to.

Contact E-mail

Displays the administrator address. This initial value is the administrator name entered during installation. Edit if you need to.

Description

Optionally, enter a description of the organization.

Identity Delisting

Days before an inactive member is delisted from the contacts directory

Displays the number of days after which an inactive member is delisted from the SharePoint Workspace contacts directory for your domain and from Groove Server Manager. Edit if you need to.

Days before an inactive device is delisted

Displays the number of days after which an inactive device is delisted from Groove Server Manager. Edit if you need to.

Cross-Certification

Export Certificate

Lets you export your domain certificate to an administrator of another management domain as part of a certificate exchange that lets you cross-certify SharePoint Workspace users with users managed in another domain.

Add Certificate

Lets you import a domain certificate from an administrator of another management domain as part of a certificate exchange that lets you cross-certify SharePoint Workspace users with users managed in another domain.

Certificate list

Displays the name, description, and date of your domain certificate and any imported certificates. ‘Self trust’ describes your domain certificate.

Displays the certificate authority name for Microsoft Groove Server 2010 Manager PKI. This setting is for information only.

Account Recovery

Change Private Key

Lets you change the domain private key that enables manual SharePoint Workspace account recovery if you believe a key has been compromised. This key is generated automatically during domain creation.
