Finding the Groove Server Relay version

The version of an installed Groove Relay application appears in several locations, including the Groove Relay Control Panel item and the Relay server administrative Web pages.

These procedures require that Groove Server Relay is installed as described in Install and configure Groove Server 2010 Relay.

To find the Relay server version

  • From your Groove Server Relay computer, use any of the methods listed in the following table to find the Relay server version:

    1. From the Relay server, open the Control Panel from the Start menu.

    2. Double-click Groove Relay.

    At the bottom of the Server tab, the Relay version appears, followed by the Office application build number.

    Relay server administrative Web pages

    1. Start Internet Explorer from a computer that has Internet access.

    2. Enter one of the following URLs:

      https://localhost:8010/ or https://127.0.0.1:8010/

    The Groove Server Relay version appears under the General Information section on the home page.

    1. Find relay.exe in the Relay installation directory.

    2. Right-click the file.

    3. Select Properties.

    4. Click the Details tab.

    The Groove Relay version and build number appear next to the product version.

    If you are not already running the Relay server as Administrator, click the Start menu, right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as administrator. With administrator permissions, open the Relay installation directory, and then enter relay –v.
