How to: Update Attribute Values (Master Data Services)

In Master Data Manager, you can update a member's attribute values when you want to change the attributes that describe a member.

Prerequisites

To perform this procedure:

  • You must have permission to access the Explorer functional area.

  • You must have a minimum of Update permission to the leaf or consolidated model object and attribute you want to update.

To update attribute values

  1. On the Master Data Manager home page, from the Model list, select a model.

  2. From the Version list, select a version.

  3. Click Explorer.

  4. From the menu bar, point to Entities and click the name of the entity you want to update.

  5. If you are updating a value for a consolidated member, click the Consolidated option above the grid.

  6. In the grid, double-click the cell for the attribute value you want to update.

  7. Type text or select from the list of values.

  8. Press ENTER.

    Note

    You can update multiple members simultaneously by selecting the check box for each row and completing steps 6-8.
