Exploring the Job Information Tabs

This topic provides a basic overview of the tabs in the Job Information dialog box. These tabs provide additional information about any given job.

The names of the tabs are:

  • Details

  • Parameters

  • Constraints

  • LMS

  • Tasks

  • Attributes

To become familiar with the tabs in the Job Information dialog box, complete the following steps to access the Details and the Tasks tabs.

  1. Switch to the Job Explorer window.

    You can also open a new Job Explorer window by clicking Explorers and selecting Job Explorer.

  2. In the Feature pane on the left side, expand the WDK Tests node.

  3. Click the top-level category for a job.

    Note   If the top-level category for the job has subfolders, you must first expand the node, and then click the appropriate subfolder.

  4. The Jobs pane on the right should now show the list of jobs in the category you selected.

  5. Double-click the job whose information you want to review. The Job Information dialog box appears, with the Details tab selected by default.

    You can also right-click the job, and then click Open.

More information about the Details and Tasks tabs now follows:

  • The Details tab
    If populated with text, this tab will provide a brief summary of how the job works. You can find more detailed information about the job in the WDK documentation.

  • The Tasks tab
    The Tasks tab provides a list of the tasks performed by the job. If you select the Tasks tab, three more tabs are available. They are:

    • Setup

    • Regular

    • Cleanup

    The Regular tab is selected by default.

    To view the details about a task:

    1. Click the task to highlight it, and then click View.

      You can also double-click the task.

    2. The View Task Details dialog box appears, with the General tab selected by default.
