Installing endpoint components using the online installer

If you access applications that are published through a Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) portal that run only when the Forefront UAG Endpoint Components are installed on your computer, you must download and install the components. You can download the Forefront UAG Endpoint Components Installer to your computer by using the Forefront UAG endpoint components Installer button or via a link on the portal home page.

To install the Forefront UAG Endpoint Components via the Installer

  1. On the portal home page, click the Forefront UAG endpoint components Installer button on the toolbar, or click the link to the Installer.

    When prompted, click Save.

  2. Log off from the portal using the site’s logout mechanism, and close all of the browser windows that were opened through the portal.

  3. Run the downloaded file as an administrator.

    The Forefront UAG Endpoint Components Installation wizard opens.

  4. Follow the instructions to complete the wizard, and install the components on the computer.
