Q: Now that capabilities of Opalis software are integrated into System Center 2012, what is Microsoft’s support commitment towards Opalis Integration Server?
Now that System Center 2012 is generally available as of April 17th 2012, Opalis 6.3 will no longer be available as a standalone product from Microsoft’s Opalis subsidiary. Opalis 6.3 support will continue for 12 months following general availability of System Center 2012. The support lifecycle for Opalis 6.3 will end on April 17, 2013. If certain customers already have existing support agreements with other support terms, those agreements will be honored until they expire. When the support for Opalis 6.3 ends, Microsoft’s Opalis subsidiary will no longer provide new updates, downloads or hotfixes for Opalis 6.3 and we’ll encourage customers to move to System Center 2012 which will be supported per Microsoft Support Lifecycle guidelines and policy.
