SMB: No registry setting for tuning the TCP window size in TCP/IP should exist

The registry setting for tuning the TCP window size in TCP/IP is enabled on this server.

This registry setting is ignored by this version of Windows and is consuming a small amount of extra space in the registry.

Use Registry Editor to delete the registry setting.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and click OK.

  2. Locate and then click to select the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.

  3. Right-click the setting TCPWindowSize and click Delete.
