Problem Running Programs on MultiPoint Server

Symptom

After certain programs are installed on a MultiPoint Server system, only one user at a time can run the program. Examples of these programs include:

  • Google Earth

  • Sony ACID XPress

  • SMART Sync

Cause

These programs are not designed to run in a multiple-user environment.

Resolution

There might be third-party solutions, generically known as sandbox applications, that you can install to allow some programs to run in a multiple-user environment. Otherwise, this is a known issue with no resolution at this time.
