To set the phone number on a port

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

  1. Open the Routing and Remote Access MMC snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, expand the server name.

  3. Right-click Ports, and then click Properties.

  4. On the Devices tab, select a device, and then click Configure.

  5. In the Configure Device dialog box, in the Phone number for this device box, type the phone number of the port, and then click OK.

  6. Click OK.

Note

You also set the phone number on a port when you are using the Restrict Dial-in to this number only dial-in constraint of a remote access policy profile and your phone line and installed phone equipment do not support Called Line Identification (CLID).
