Supported Deployment Topologies
The following topologies are supported for System Center Essentials deployment:
The Essentials 2007 Management Server, database server, and console are all installed on a single computer.
The database server is installed on a different computer than the Essentials 2007 management server.
In addition to the Essentials 2007 console, which is installed on the Management Server, an Essentials 2007 console can be installed as a stand-alone component on a computer other than the Management Server. No more than 10 remote Essentials 2007 consoles can be used at a time.
Any Essentials 2007 component can be installed on a domain controller.
Essentials 2007 can manage computers or network devices that are in a different domain from the Essentials 2007 server, as long as the domains are in the same Active Directory forest.
