Microsoft® HPC Pack provides a built-in set of commonly-used diagnostic tests. You can use these tests to help verify deployment, troubleshoot failures, detect performance degradation, and check for software updates.
This section provides information about the System tests that are included by default when you install HPC Pack, how to run tests, review results, and add custom diagnostic tests.
The job record retention period (TTLCompletedJobs) determines how long to store diagnostic test results and data in the HPCDiagnostics database. For more information, see Understanding Job History.
For more information about creating custom diagnostic tests, see Diagnostics Extensibility Step-by-Step Guide on MSDN.
